HOW MANY CRISP PACKET DOES IT TAKE TO MAKE A IRON MAN SURVIVAL BLANKET?
It takes 150 regular size crisp packets or any size crisp packet to make a blanket!
WHAT PLASTIC DO I USE TO MAKE MY IRON MAN SURVIVAL BLANKET?
All your recycled plastic should me clear and not any colours as colours have a lot more toxins in it.
Your plastic should be as thick as a bread bag, not any thinner but a little bit thicker is ok .
You will find if your plastic is to thick it will be to hard to fold up and will take lot longer to fuse.
cling film and wrap is to thin.
plastic that beds and carpets come in is to thick.
Please make sure it is a fuse not a melt!
don’t touch the iron with your plastic us a big sheet of baking paper or Grease proof paper.
Use a well ventilated area and a mask is recommend.
WHAT ARE THE BEST CRISP PACKETS TO USE ?
The best crisp packets to use are definitely walkers .
We find the thicker packets and the thin packets harder to fuse .
CAN I MAKE THESE FOR MY LOCAL COMMUNITY?
Yes you can make our blankets to help your local homeless community.
You can hand them out or get in touch with us and we will supply you with a local charity who desperately need these blankets!
HOW DO YOU WASH A CRISP PACKET?
You can decide if you wash them in warm soapy water then hang out to dry or you can dry with a paper towel.
You can put them in your washing machine! Make sure to cut them open and put on a quick wash in a pillow case on a low heat! Around 20 degrees
You can even put them once cut into your domestic dishwasher. Again towel dry or hang out.
HOW TO OPEN A CRISP PACKET READY TO BE USED!
If you open your crisp packets make sure to cut on one side and repeat on the bottom
crisp packets need to be opened landscape.
Don’t forget to wash after this process!
HOW LONG DO THESE BLANKETS LAST?
These blankets last well over a year!
And guess what? If they rip, get damaged... we have people bring them back and we patch them up
We also give them another one!
Sometimes they may get torn on thorns, rocks, etc.
But it’s an easy fix!
HOW DO THE IRON MAN TEAM DISTRIBUTE OUR BLANKETS?
We hand them out to A lot of different charity’s across the uk.
We also go out with them on there missions on a Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
We are are handing out iron man survival blankets to homeless people every other day.
The rest of the week We are making and organising blankets to send out across the uk and different counties.
